There are many phone dating lines that let you chat to other singles in your area for free for a limited amount of time. They will charge your credit card after you have been with them for the period of the free trial (usually one week to one month). This free trial also allows you to check out the phone dating service and check that it is the best way for you to find a new partner or just some new friends in your area. Some party lines and phone chat lines also offer free trials and these may be even better solutions for you.

• Some phone dating lines falsely advertise their services as free. While they will not charge your credit card and you will not have to pay to be signed up to the service, these services often require you to call a premium telephone number which could end up costing you hundreds of dollars.
• There is always some cost associated with ‘free’ phone dating services. Whether this is a standard fee taken out of your credit card each month, or the cost of the calls to the telephone dating service, you will have to pay something to use phone dating lines.
